Having recently travelled around Malaysia, we realised we still don't know a lot about each other and our diverse culture (especially in Sabah and Sarawak). Perhaps it's now time for us to come together and rediscover each other.

Cultural Awareness, Education & Understanding

Malaysians belong to uncountable cultures and traditions. That is just how different and diverse we are as a nation. We believe to work in ways to bring love and understanding through through art, documentary or short films for our future generations.

 UNITING MALAYSIANS

THROUGH FOOD

we slowly revealed 60 artworks to convey the Malaysian message across that many of us are truly

'Hungry for a Better Malaysia'.

CHAPTER 3:

SUSTAINABLE PACKAGING
WITH DR RENARD SIEW

Single-use plastics for food packaging has filled our landfills to the brim. But it doesn’t have to be that way. It’s about time we start making a difference. Discover what Malaysians are doing in our own backyard. The Rojak Projek is in collaboration with Dr Renard Siew to spark the #sustainablepackaging revolution in our Malaysian society.

#ORANGASLI

The forests means everything to the Orang Asli community. It is more than just a source of food, water, a place to live, a wellspring for income and to some a spiritual sanctuary...

LIST OF ETHNICITY WE FOUND IN MALAYSIA

(2019)

If we can name three races in Malaysia, why can’t we name them all (including those who are of mixed race)? We believe it is time for our generation to take it to the next level in rediscovering and getting to know our Malaysian people better.

TELL US WHAT KIND OF ROJAK YOU ARE!

(2019)

Inspired by The Rojak Party's data collection, The Rojak Projek in collaboration with RIUH combine forces to have an interactive board for people to express, embrace and write their mix culture and heritage on the #RojakNation board.

IN THE MAKINg
   > created 60 artworks
   > to construct the artworks, we first
had to filter through and separate
each ingredient of the dish we were
      creating.
   > the artwork creation process begun
from a sketched concept which we
      experimented on and eventually led
us to collecting more portraits to
create. We then sketched out the
      portrait outline, search and bought
      food, created the artworks,
      documented / captured the artwork
      via photography (because food can't
      be kept), eating our created
artworks or packing it to share with
      our friends and family (because
sharing is caring!), clean up and we
then do a digital clean up on the
      messy parts on our computers.
